About
Bytes and Borscht is a place on the Internet for me, the author, to gather together the hodgepodge of things I wrote throughout the years. Most of the content is talking about conflict research, (geo)politics, information security, cybersecurity and a whole host of other things that I might feel about talking. Including popcultural references barely anyone is going to understand.

Work
I'm currently available for full-time remote work (GMT+1, willing to travel regularly but unable to relocate permanently) as security analyst in the widest sense of the word.
My background is originally systems administration, but I've spent most of the last decade working at a CSIRT (with a short excursion as a security officer at a FinTech), specializing in threat intelligence (with a specific focus on the strategic level and the CIS-states in particular) and everything involving the incident response and forensics of Linux-systems. For more information or a full CV, please reach out to contact@bytesandborscht.com.
Contact
Feel free to reach out to contact@bytesandborscht.com if you happen to have any questions. I'm also on Twitter, @bytesandborscht. I do have a profile on Bluesky as well, but this is simply to avoid someone else registering it. I'm not active on that platform (yet).
Artwork
Most of the illustrations used on this page have been generated by tools utilizing generative AI. This isn't by choice but because I have been unable to find someone to commission illustrations or artwork for me. If you're in that business and are open for (paid, obviously) commissions, please let me know through contact@bytesandborscht.com or reach out on Twitter.
